KAKATIYA LOUNGE & KITCHEN
About This Spot
Stepping into Kakatiya Lounge & Kitchen feels like entering a quietly refined corner of Lewisville where the rich and vibrant flavors of Indian cuisine invite you to slow down and savor every moment. Nestled within a welcoming space that balances modern touches with warmth, the restaurant extends an atmosphere that’s both intimate and inviting—a place where the hum of friendly conversation blends seamlessly with the subtle spices that drift from the kitchen.
The pace here is unhurried, encouraging guests to appreciate more than just the food—though that is undeniably the centerpiece. The thoughtful ambience, marked by soft lighting and a tasteful décor, creates a setting that suits close family meals, relaxed gatherings, or simply a soothing escape for those craving authentic tastes.
Here, the culinary experience gently unfolds through dishes that carry the heart of India’s diverse regional kitchens. From the comforting aroma of freshly baked naan to the intricate spice layers in their biryanis and sizzlers, each plate is a crafted expression of tradition with a modern touch. Whether relishing the deep, smoky notes of a slow-cooked chicken curry or delighting in the slight crispiness of a pan-fried dosa, there’s a mindful balance of flavors that invite you to return, again and again.
Despite the modest size of the dining area, Kakatiya Lounge & Kitchen feels expansive in its approach to hospitality. The staff’s warm attentiveness complements the inviting surroundings, adding a personal layer to the experience while maintaining a respectful and calm energy. It’s a space where the genuine care behind the service enriches the meal as much as the food itself, creating a sense of welcome that lingers beyond the visit.
Nearby, a small halal grocery and snack area hint at the wider cultural tapestry supporting the restaurant, making the location a meaningful hub for those wanting to explore Indian flavors more deeply—with every visit offering a quiet discovery, whether it’s a new dish to try or the subtle shifts in the familiar ones.

This is the first time we visited, and the service was prompt, fast. Food was good. We ordered chicken appetizer, chetinadu chicken curry, mutton biryani.

A small restaurant setup with in the little India store and food area. Staff were friendly, but the service was little slow. Ambiance was good with the usual classy setup. Appetizers were good and tasty. Biryanis were flavor rich too, only one was the biryanis was not so good. Absolutely loved the Hyderabad Chicken Dum Biryani at this restaurant! The flavors were authentic, the aroma was tantalizing, and the taste was simply out of this world. The ambience added to the overall experience, making it a delightful dining spot. Highly recommend for anyone craving an excellent Biryani experience! Worth for the money

Loved their Mamsam (goat) roast and samosas. Mutton biryani is well done. Sweet samosa is one of its kind and a must try if you are going. Food is freshly made and ambience is really good, they even have a halal store/snack place/grocery store and banquet hall in the same building, one stop for all
